nothing going on...

Well, today is Day 46 of waiting for LOA.
Remember, we could in hear something in 50-150 days. What a window!
I feel very much in limbo, not wanting to plan, having a lot to do, not wanting to do things too early but not wanting to wait too late. Pretty much I just look at the messes and think about things to do and then forget why I was in that room and walk back out.

Maybe I will just post a "hope" verse.

Yet this I call to mind
and therefore I have hope:
Because of the Lord's great love
we are not consumed,
for his compassions never fail.

Fabric??

Hi friends--
Never fear. If you think you are too late to send fabric, you aren't! I have gotten a lot but could still use more. So if you were thinking about it but felt guilty that you were too late (wow, don't I know THAT feeling?!) don't worry, be happy. But please do hurry :-).

Happy Spring!

Day 30 and a poem

We are on day:
of "waiting for approval" and recently some families have gotten approval in 32 days, but it seems like 90 days is about the average.

I came across this poem today and I am not usually one for sappy adoption poetry, but this one really got me!!

The Waiting Child

I saw you meet your child today
You kissed your baby joyfully
And as you walked away with her
I played pretend you'd chosen me.

I'm happy for the baby, yet
Inside I'm aching miserably
I want to plead as you go by,
"Does no-one want a child of three?"

I saw you meet your child today
In love with her before you met
And as I watched you take her out
I knew it wasn't my turn yet.

I recognize you from last year!
I knew I'd seen your face before!
But you came for a second babe.
Does no-one want a child of four?

I saw you meet your child today
But this time there was something new
A nurse came in and took MY hand
And then she gave my hand to you.

Can this be true? I'm almost six!
And there are infants here, you see?
But then you kissed me and I knew
The child you picked this time was me.
